How do I land the jet on the aircraft carrier on the NES "Top Gun" game?
I never ever figured This Out so I dug out my old NES, a copy of the game and an old TV. I thought after years and years of gaming I've finally evolved to the point I could master the one instance a Video Game has completely dominated me. I still couldn't do it. I'm about to smash my NES.
Just follow the directions they give you. I remember playing that a long time ago and they said to go higher or speed up and stuff right? here is what I remember
1. aim your crosshair slightly above the carrier so your tomcat looks like its in landing position with the nose of plane higher than the tail
2. keep your speed at about 180 mph
3. keep your altitude at about 120 feet.
If I remember correctly these numbers are correct. I used to land EVERY TIME with these numbers and I used to play that alot- It was a hella fukkin hard game! Did you beat the game? The last boss was the SPACE SHUTTLE...And I thought Konami was on crack at the time cuz where in the movie did they ever mention the enemy having an American space shuttle? I thought the enemy pilots were "russians" or another communist country and they would have their own designs for a spaceship. Maybe the russians STOLE OUR SPACE SHUTTLE and we had to destroy it to keep it from them! lol. (how does somebody go about stealing a space shuttle)? LOLLOLLOLLOL
